Thankfully, Fjords leather furniture is easy to take care of, naturally durable and becomes more beautiful with use. Here are some tips to keep your top grain leather furniture from Fjords in optimal condition:

  • Routine Cleaning: Use a soft, dry cloth to wipe down your top grain leather furniture weekly, removing any dust or dirt that has settled.
  • Deep Cleaning: Every 3-6 months, perform a deep cleaning using a leather-specific cleaner. Apply the cleaner to a soft cloth and gently rub it into the leather in a circular motion. Avoid using regular household cleaners, which can be too harsh and damage the leather.
  • Conditioning: To keep the leather supple and prevent cracking, apply a quality leather conditioner every 6-12 months.

  • Professional Cleaning: We recommend professional cleaning for a deep clean every 12-18 months or immediately if a stubborn stain occurs.

  • Dusting: Dust regularly with a soft, dry cloth. Always follow the grain direction to avoid scratches. 
  • Polishing: Use a quality furniture polish every few months to maintain the wood’s sheen. 
  • Avoid Moisture & Heat: Avoid placing the furniture near heat sources or in areas with high humidity. And be sure to protect the wood on table sectionals from hot objects and liquids. Use coasters and placemats, as necessary.
